After mom died, I was scheduled to do a 5k run. I wasn’t going to do it but decided to go and give it a shot. When I walked up to the START line, 3 friends were standing at the START line with shirts on that had CANCER SUCKS printed in big bold letters. After the 5k that day I began searching for a company to print Cancer Sucks on bright Orange dry fit shirts for runners to wear. In 2015, the Louisville Derby Mini Marathon had about 65 people wearing the bright Orange shirts.
Ever since then the shirt has caught on with family, friends and the local community! It’s a great way to show your support for patients battling cancer and to support Shirley’s Way.
